✗ Nineteen

Axel arrived a few hours later and realized that Raven had not left the bed for nothing. She was sleeping and, truth be told, she was really pale. Her hair was wet, indicating that he had been wrong about her not having gotten out of bed. However, all the groceries that were in the kitchen were completely intact, with no trace of that Raven would have been there.
He knew she would not wake her up to make her food. Axel was tired and got to sleep on the sofa.
Anyway, his sleep did not last long. When the boy turned, his arm touched something that was on the edge of the couch. He slowly opened his eyes and saw that it was Raven, whose head was resting on her arms and she was fast asleep. Axel rose and gently carried her back to bed.
- You need not have brought me here.
- You can not lie that way. Also, I'm disappointed in you.
- Why?
- I told you to eat while I was away, did not I?
- Yes, but I could not.
Axel softened the look. Her voice was visibly full of sleep and fatigue, so of no use to continue arguing with her. He placed her on the bed and covered her with the blanket.
Before he could leave, she grabbed his hand and the young man realized that it was colder than normal.
- I'm sorry I left you angry or worried.
Her voice had no trace of sleepiness.
- It's okay, but I do not want that to happen anymore. Now, try to rest. If you feel better, we'll go to college.
He kissed her forehead and she fell asleep again. For a moment, Axel felt a monster for making her life suddenly changing like that, but how long can he avoid all this mean? How long the secret would be hidden from Natassia Daewron? And further: how long they would be trapped in these currents, even when broken, make him get stuck with it forever?
Axel knew she did not deserve to suffer like that, but what could he do? If Raven does not know everything, people like Ashley could hunt her down at any moment and he could not even protect her. That way, she would be safe in the world, but no one could protect her from him. Sooner or later, he would have to choose between killing her or make her immortal so that he could continue drinking her blood without worrying about the end.
Even without knowing if she would accept, he had already made a decision: not to become immortal for her to continue suffering from it, he would let her live as a human and then die as a human.
What was it then? Axel did not care about that. He knew what would happen to a vampire when Bloodluster died, but he still had enough time to spend with her.
- It's okay?
- Yes. What happened? Are you sleepless?
- I think so.
- Did you sleep for too long. - He smiled - Sounds like you're getting stronger. That's fine.
- You seem tired.
- Maybe a little, but I'm fine. Today was a long day.
- I can stay on the couch.
- No -. Axel was left next to her - You stay here.
Raven thought about saying something, but deep breathing it indicated that Axel was already asleep. He seemed more comfortable there than lying on the couch. She was not feeling sleepy, so it was silent beside him. Who does not know with any certainty say that he was human. Axel pareica a wax statue, but it was able to conquer anyone. His lips were pink and were slightly parted, but showed sharp and gleaming fangs and his skin looked even paler in the moonlight passing through the curtains. His breathing was regular, almost imperceptible and for a moment she thought if she was dreaming about it.
Only a small movement was enough to make him open his eyes. Raven then realized that his sleep was delicate, perhaps because he wants to be always alert to take care of her. The left arm was about her as a guarantee that the girl would not go away unnoticed. As much as Raven had not yet accepted to be Bloodluster him, Axel behaved as if everything had been resolved. Anyway, she did not have much of a choice. Now he depended on her blood for life and the image of his face when he did not drink a single drop of blood that was not hers, so she could not deny. However, she feared what would happen when she died and could no longer give blood to him.
- Axel.
- Yes?
- What will happen to you when I die?
- This is not important, you should not worry.
- I have to know.
- You know that my body can no longer accept other type of blood that is not his, right?
- Yes.
- If you die, my body will lose its strength and my fate will starve to death. I will turn to ashes for the rest of my life.
- Is it painful?
- Some say yes, some say no. Why you wonder?
- No reason, just to know what decision to make.
- I do not want you to change your mind about me. You, as my Bloodluster have freedom to choose what is best. I'm stuck in the past and my destination, you know that.
He made her hand touched the scar of black chains on his neck.
- I'd really like to know how to reverse it, but I do not know. I will have to carry this burden for the rest of my life.
- I'm so sorry.
- You have not done anything wrong. Iam the only whou should be sorry; for my sake, you're that way.
Small turquoise dots began to appear in his eyes, but Raven knew he was not feeling thirsty: it was only pain and guilt.

✗ Eighteen

- Do you have guests now?
- She is definitely here.
- You moved, Axel. I think that you expect her to think first, but I guess I was wrong.
- Be quiet.
- What happened to her?
   Axel sighed.
- She discussed with a human friend.
   Leah laughed.
- Do you mean that you bring her to your home for any reason?
- If I do not bring her, that human could know everything.
- So what? Just erase her memories.
Axel passed her, pretending not to hear it. Leah was always very radical and brutal, without thinking of the consequences and the right causes before doing anything. He went to the bedroom, where he finished meeting with Raven on the way.
- What is it, dear?
- It's nothing. I just thought I was still in my old apartment.
- I'm sorry, my love.
   Raven saw him swallow.
- I think you need to feed.
- You are unable to do so.
- I do not want anyone else to be detrimental for me. I'm your Bloodluster, are not I?
- Yes, but my duty as his master is to take care of you and that includes knowing when to take your blood.
- I'm better, just need time to adapt.
Axel knew deep down she was not well. Anyway, the seat he was feeling was driving him crazy, so that even Raven realized. He came up and touched his lips to her collarbone before using the tusks. She stood there, patiently waiting for the time needed.
- Axel, if you want to do this, please go to the room. I am not obligated to do so.
- If you are not happy go away. You're in my house and I'm thirsty.
- You do not think she is starting to get pale?
He pulled back and looked closely at her face. Yes, she was getting pale, but this should not be happening so soon. He even took her blood as much as it should.
- What happened? I'm as pale as it looks?
- You're a little pale, my princess, you'd better get some rest.
Axel took her in his arms and placed her on the bed again.
- Are you hungry? Do you need something?
- I'm fine.
- You need to have dinner or eat something.
- Maybe later?
He lay beside her and stroked her cheek a gentle way.
- I do not wanna see you this way because of a discussion, okay?
- As you know it's because of that?
- Our feelings are connected, remember? Even for a thin and fragile thread, but I may know a part of what you feel ... I have to go to college, right? I will say that you were unable to attend the class today.
- Thank you.
- Luckily, I have humans groceries in the kitchen. If you're hungry, do not hesitate to grab something to eat.
- Okay.
Axel touched her lips before leaving and looked at her seriously.
- If you do not eat, I know.
- I'll be better when you get back.
- I hope so. If something is wrong, do not hesitate to call me.
She nodded and fell asleep again. For a moment, Axel thought about trying to fix things for her, but he feared to worsen further. It was not a good time to try to reconcile things, he thought. Also, sooner or later she would forget all the humans with whom she had contact, for now she was living with him any kind of human contact could be dangerous and harmful to her.

✗ Seventeen

- What did I miss here?
- Why are you asking this?
- Therefore. - Kira pointed to the drops of blood on the carpet - you hurt?
-. No. I was trying to cook dinner, but when I answer the phone I think I spilled some sauce on the carpet.
She arched an eyebrow redhead. Kira knew there was something completely wrong in that story, as Raven would never try to prepare dinner alone and she never answered the phone.
- You sure you're not hiding anything from me?
- Why do you think so? Kira, you're strange lately.
- To begin with, the only person who is strange here is you. And then you are behaving differently every time I talk to you way. What's going on? Why can not we sit and talk as we always do?
- Because it's not just a problem that can be solved chatting. Incidentally, there is no problem. I managed to solve everything on my own.
Kira began to scour the house, looking for anything that might contradict what Raven was saying. However, found nothing, just a book that was hidden among the other college books.
- What is it? I've never seen this book before here.
- I borrowed it from a friend.
- What friend?
- What is your problem, Kira? Why you can not trust me for once?
- I have no problems. I'm just trying to protect my friend something that might happen.
- I am no longer a child, Kira. I know we're almost sisters, but I need to have privacy. All have their own problems, and I need to learn to deal with them.
- You're saying I'm no good for nothing anymore, is it? Of a sudden you decided to grow? I'm sorry to say this but you took too long to make that decision.
Raven felt sore, but did not show it. Anyway, what else made her sad was to be arguing with her best friend because of something supernatural, because of Axel.
Kira looked at her without getting any response. She knew she should not have said that, but she was tired of seeing Raven suffer and not be able to help. They were always together and the day after that Axel spoke to her ... Yes, everything should certainly be because of Axel.
- Raven, is there something between you and Axel?
- What? Where did you get that conclusion?
- So it's true, is not it?
- I said nothing.
- No need. By their reaction you can tell.
Axel, please help me.
Axel did not reply, but this time she knew he had received her message. Raven feared that Kira had just placing it against the wall and she was obliged to tell everything that was happening.
- Raven, what's the problem? Why you can not tell me what's going on between you and Axel? I have no interest in it, do not worry about it.
- Kira, is not at all what you're thinking.
- So what? How do I know if you do not say? You do not trust me anymore?
- I always trust you, but this time is very different.
Kira growled, tired of arguing. Raven knew her enough to know she would not tell her what was happening so easily. Still, she knew she could not live in the same environment that a person who does not trust her.
- We have to solve one thing - her voice was sour - I will not be able to live in the same place as you.
- I know where you're going.
- One of us has to go.
The doorbell rang at the wrong time. Neither was in psychological conditions to meet anyone, but Kira abiu the door, trying to sound as calm as possible.
- What are you doing here?
- I want to talk to Raven.
 Kira blocked the door.
- What's going on between you two?
- There are facts that ordinary people are not able to understand. Now get out of my face.
- What will you say to Raven can be said aloud.
 Axel looked at Raven.
- Raven, take all their stuff. You will not get any more minutes in this apartment.
- What? - The two girls spoke at once. Raven was shocked with how to help Axel was offering at the time, but she did not forgive him if Kira had to work even harder to pay for an apartment.
- It's exactly what you heard. I will not allow you to continue here with a person who does not respect its decisions.
- How do you know?
- I'm in front of this door longer than you think there is.
Axel went, even against the will of Kira and helped Raven to pack. The girl did not want to leave her friend alone, but if it were to avoid further conflict, then it would be better. As she straightened, he carried everything out of the apartment. Kira watched it all without saying anything and doing absolutely nothing. When Raven was leaving, she went to the kitchen, with the intention of not talking to her or even see her go.
The apartment door was shut behind them violently.
- Let's get out of here.
Axel used the same trick again to make them faster to reach his apartment.
- Here we are. Welcome to your new home.
Raven hugged the boy and began to cry. She never wanted to have lost a friendship as valuable as Kira, but the burden she was carrying would not be shared with anyone else.
- It will get better, do not worry. I'm sure you two will be friends again.
Axel tightened the hug around her, pulling her over for himself and letting Raven cried until she felt better. For him, it was painful to see her cry like that, but for about the past she had built with human that he promised himself he would not do anything against it. The boy wiped her tears one by one patiently, as if he could do it for life.
- Why, Axel? Why my life is turning upside down this way?
- Everything changes, my dear, but nobody ever said the changes are easy.
- Why I can not tell her, Axel? Why?
 He kissed her forehead gently.
- Humans are not able to understand this. Almost all of them no longer believe in us, you would only be classified as crazy if I tried to explain.
She remained nestled in Axel to sleep. His throat was burning with thirst, but he did not dare to touch a drop of her blood. Raven did not deserve to suffer more than she was suffering that day, he thought, as she put her lying on his bed and covered her.

✗ Sixteen

Raven had already lost more than half the day waiting for any news of Axel. Maybe Leah was lying and sometime she would be laughing at the lies you told, she thought. Anyway, she was determined not to remain there without any response.
I really do not understand you ... First, rejects me and now wonder how I am? You are a strange Bloodluster.
- Axel ...
Where are you, I can not find you somewhere.
- I'm on the outside of my house.
   The front door opened instantly.
- Axel?
He did not react, but Raven did not need anything more than to see how it was: even more pale and dark circles, further emphasizing the turquoise color of his eyes. Her lips were almost white, clear that he had almost no drop of blood in the body signal.
- Leah said you wanted to see me.
- Yes. I want to thank you for saving me from Ashley ... - Axel was going to say something, but she cut him off - And I mean I feel sorry for you being in this state. Leah told me that your body does not accept other kind of blood that is not mine and I feel guilty about it. You are my master and I behaved like a rebellious child.
Axel hugged her, as if she were the most precious thing in the world and narrowed his arms around her, fearing that she would disappear.
- I was not the best teacher in the world too, but we can still fix this.
- We can start over. - She said, holding a finger at him.
He knew what were the freedoms it. Axel might as well go to the point he wanted, but not as she did not speak it should. He bit her index finger and just a single drop was enough that a portion of his health returned. Raven felt better for doing what it was designed to do and see that his face was already resuming the pallor that was natural to him and his lips recovering pinkish hue. She still embraced by Axel, leaned her head on his shoulder as he stroked her back, without worrying about how long it would take her blood.
- That's enough for a while.
- Will you come back tomorrow?
- Maybe. I think I'm better.
- Axel, I can have more time to think?
- Do not ever think enough? I respect your decision.
- I'm not sure about what I think. See you in that state made me feel so guilty that even though I gave in all my blood at this time would not be enough to make me feel totally fine.
   Axel's lips tuouched hers again.
- Do you have the time you want to think. When you are sure of what you want, just look for me.
- How? Our connection was broken.
- It broke because you wanted to break it. Now that you wanted to see me, our bond returned.
The apartment door opened with a soft creak.
- It's Kira.

✗ Fifiteen

Axel was not in college. According to the director, he would not appear for a week, since it was a health issue. Raven knew exactly what was this problem, but she would not admit it was her fault. What good is cheating? Leah was right. It was not worth Bloodluster anyone, least of Axel. Despite her rejection, he came to save her and heal her wounds.
Maybe she should look for it? But, what would you say if I saw you? What would you do if you met him? Raven had no idea, but she felt she wanted to see him, even though she had nothing to say. Yes, she had to say. She should thank him.
The problem is that she did not know how to get to his apartment alone. Axel had used his powers to take it up there and no one would provide the address of an employee to a student, even if this employee was just an intern. The solution would be to look for herself. The only thing she knew was that his apartment was off campus, but where?
With all day vague and Kira to watch her steps, she left home determined to find Axel. Their connection still existed, however weak it was and it would help find the boy.

She returned to where Axel appeared last night and looked around. The shade where it appeared, was the entrance to another street she did not know. As it was still daylight, no vampire could attack it before the countless people who circulated the whole time there, so it could follow without fear.
The street was wide with some buildings spread across blocks, but they all seemed to have luxury and prestige. As he passed one of the buildings, saw that one of the employees was around and ventured to ask:
- Please let me know the lady if Axel Slade live here?
- Slade ... Slade ... He's a tall boy with brown eyes and pale face living alone?
- Yes.
- Well, he does not live here, but I always see coming from there - the woman pointed forward. - Maybe you do not find in other buildings?
Raven continued walking until he saw a figure with his back to her. Leah seemed. She ran toward the girl.
- Leah!
- Why are you here?
- I'm looking for Axel.
 Leah gave a skeptical laugh.
- He is no longer here.
- As well? He moved?
- You can say that. Axel decided to leave the world since you denied.
- But ... And the state of his health?
 Leah raised an eyebrow.
- How ironic! The person who least cared about his need is concerned? What happened? The psychologist was with heavy consicência?
- I should not satisfactions for you, just want to know about the state of his health.
- It could be better.
Raven needed something more specific and indirect way Leah spoke not help much. Realizing this, the blonde girl decided to be more direct about it.
- Axel does not take another drop of blood ever since. His body rejects any kind of blood that is not his. His eyes are nonetheless turquoises for any second and thus it can not work.
- Where is he?
- Why do you think I know?
- Because you know what is happening to him.
- Even if I did, it would affect only your selfish and perfect little world.
Every word of Leah was like a slap in the face of Raven, however, all that was true and she could not deny.
- I know I can not redo everything I did, but please, take me to him. If he does not want to see me I swear I'll be gone in an instant.
- I can think of doing this favor, but I'll take you there. I'll ask him to find you.
- OK. - Raven was no better offer but to trust that Leah really talk to Axel.
She returned home, hoping his contact with each passing second. While waiting, the girl wondered if her decision had been right. More than some, her decision had been fair?

✗ Fourteen

The day passed quickly. Raven only noticed it when the guy who was playing guitar left and she was forced to do the same thing. The moon was appearing in the sky and people were already going to their homes, it was almost time for dinner. Dinner. This word reminded Axel involuntarily. Was he thirsty now? Will Leah be there to help him feed?
She tried to get these thoughts out of his head, but could not. For the first time, the girl knew how to have a guilty conscience, however, what would have been her if she accept? Maybe Axel had actually handled better, or maybe he kept locked in a room and only appeared when he had thirst.
But good would not think about that now. She could not think about what would happen if he had chosen otherwise. What Raven should do now is forget about it and move on. If Axel actually have a human side as he appears to be, he would understand her reasons and reappear.
She was still away from college when bumped into a girl with red hair and blue eyes who was dressed in black and violet.
- I'm so sorry.
The girl stood up and looked at Raven curiously from head to toe.
- My name is Ashley - she said as she walked around the girl, sniffing the air - You smell good.
Raven did not know whether grateful or if he ran, but made his decision when Ashley heard a sound like a kind of howl. She tried to run as fast as his legs could when he saw three shadows appeared and joined Ashley for tracking her down. Certainly were vampires because the prey were almost as white as those of Axel.
   Axel.
If he were there ... But it was not. She would have to take care of herself if she wanted to get home intact.
- We will not hurt you, little girl. Do not be afraid.
Ashley's laughter was what left Raven still terrified. She was already at the maximum speed limit, but there was still much to reach the gates of the college ... The only way out was to keep the pace and pray to get out alive even at home.
One of the companions jumped on it, but missed a short distance. However, this was more than enough to make Raven stagger and almost fall. She rested a hand on the ground and resumed his balance.
- Do not do anything to hurt it, morons! She can not lose blood in vain!
She looked to her left hand, which was a cut and bleeding a little. Apparently, Ashley was really interested in her blood and the distance was not an ally at that time.
Another of followers jumped on her and this time he managed to shoot it. Ashley wore a harness to hold her ankles.
- Now you have no where to escape. There is nobody to help you.
- She is a Bloodluster, Ashley. Soon her master may appear.
- She denied being Axel's Bloodluster. She is helpless.
A lightning slashed the sky and the Ashley's whip was cut in half. Raven managed to break free and stand up, but did not run because he felt the presence of someone else in there and the wound on her hand was healing.
- Let's go. - Ashley growled, looking at the picture that was in the shadows.
Raven could see the turquoise color in the eyes of the guy who was there. It was Axel.
- Axel!
He did not look at her. Simply turned and disappeared into the shadows from which he had appeared.
She could not talk to him. So she followed the path back home, with new torments he would be angry or sad? Does Axel forgive her?

- Where have you been? I was worried!
- Nowhere.
- Well, at least you feel better?
   Raven looked at Kira.
- Kira, if you asked me that I always accompany you and I answered no, what would you do?
- Well, I understand. After all, I asked you a question and I do not forced you to do anything. You can choose what is best for you. But why did you ask me that?
- Just to know.
- I think you need a psychologist.
Raven gave a wry smile to hide the sadness for having listened to what Kira said. Perhaps it would help if she was dealing with a human. She looked at her hand, which should be wound.
Axel ...

✗ Thirteen

Axel had mysteriously disappeared since when they talked. Raven did not know if he was avoiding her or if he had actually dropped out. Anyway, what good would see it if everything had been cleared up? All that remained now was to just forget it all happened one day and back to living as before. But how? He had left the book with her and that would make the memories come back often. Anyway, she could not just burn the book, after all what did not belong to her. Would hide it, but sooner or later find him again.
She crawled up the stairs to reach the door of the apartment. Definitely, Raven wanted everyone disappeared until she was finally back to normal and all these truths, all people and that Axel disappeared from her head as soon as possible.
However, upon opening the door the apartment, she realized that all still there, especially Kira, who was sitting on the couch changing the TV channel impetuously.
- What happened?
- Why are you asking?
- Because you look like you're about to cry. Someone you did something?
- I'm fine. - Raven replied, after a long sigh.
- I know. This time I'm going to pretend that I think just because I'm busy with television.
She went toward the bedroom and closed the door. To make sure he would be at peace, the girl went to her bed, where he put his head in his hands and began to cry. Raven did not know the reason why she was crying actually, but the tears just escaped. Maybe it was some remnant of the ability to be able to share feelings with Axel, but she was not sure. The Raven really knew was that some of those tears for her decision she had taken without being absolutely sure they wanted it or not.
- Raven? What happened?
Kira promised herself she would start to give more space to her friend, but when he heard her cry, it was impossible to keep the promise. She promised to Daewron lady who would take care of Raven until she herself could do that.
- I'm fine, leave me alone.
- I can not do this. We are best friends, remember? We have to help each other.
- Please, Kira, you can not help me. No one can help me now.
She rose from the bed and was wobbly and decided resolutely to the door. Kira could not prevent.
- Raven, where are you going?
- I do not know, but I have to leave.
Better to let her go, Kira thought, she has to learn to take care of problems on their own.

Raven was with her face wet with tears and there was no one who did not stop to look. She did not care at all Axel was right: some people were simply curious and had no intention of helping. It had been a while she had not seen the city, but even that was able to make her stop thinking about her decision, in all that had happened and how Axel might be now. It may be that he is suffering, as she can be and he has resumed his life. After all, he said that the blood of Leah survived all this time, so it could very well remain that way. Furthermore, it could also find another Bloodluster foolish he had denied the Master, just like her.
The girl was near a dam when the sound of a guitar caught his attention. Looking around, she realized it was a guy with curly hair who was playing and she decided to approach, hoping that the sound would scare away all those ideas in her head, even if only for a second. Raven sat within a reasonable distance, but he could still hear the music clearly. For a moment, she began to feel at peace while the melody and played it through the crystal clear water of the dam stirring with the soft wind that passed by. My mind is like this water, she thought, a simple breeze can transform everything.
Axel ... Can you hear me?
Every effort she made was completely useless. Raven still could not believe she had lost communication with him, but the fact was true. Once she had denied, could not undo what he had done. According to Axel, it could even, but what if it was late?
She found herself repeating the words of Axel in her mind. That would be guilt or the fact that it was the honest truth?

✗ Tweleve

Raven did not dare get out of bed. Every time she remembered she would have to find an answer to Axel was painful, especially after Leah had said everything to her. Anyway, she took a deep breath and headed towards the exit, after she could not be late.
She saw Axel before entering the classroom and it made her wonder if Leah had something to do with it. Does it tell you about their conversation last night? If so, she would have told what really happened? Anyway, the first thing she learned is that you can not have anxiety.
However, when the bell rang announcing the break, she wanted to disappear from the world.
Meet me at the lab door.
She waited until the hallway was completely empty to go there, where Axel had expected.
- Your time is up. What do you say?
- I do not wanna be your Bloodluster.
- Are you kidding?
- No. Axel, I never asked to be a Bloodluster. My dream is to become a psychologist and care for people with all possible devotion and I will not get knowing that I am seviçal a noble vampire who just wants my blood.
Axel did not hide the sadness in his eyes.
- Well, I left you free to choose, is not it? That means I have to accept and respect his decision. I believe that Leah told you what can happen, right?
- Other vampires can come after me.
- And I shall be obliged to protect you.
- But why?
- Because you were born to be my Bloodluster. My presence is in you, but only other vampires and can feel when they feel you do not have my smell, will know that you denied me.
- Axel, who knows in a few years?
- And if in a few years is too late? Life is a surprise.
- You gave me freedom and I already chose. I'm sorry, Axel.
He took one last look at her and disappeared down the hall. Raven realized that he was hurt by the rejection, but she could not get rid of humanindade because of him. The obligation of a Bloodluster is never leave the master, but she wanted to be free to do what you've always wanted to do. Axel was once human one day, he could not understand it?
She could no longer feel his presence somewhere.
Axel. Axel.
He did not answer. All forms of connection she had with him had been broken when she rejected him. Anyway, the unknown is not always a good friend and she did not want to change. If she could stay the same, maybe she would not have accepted? But now everything had been done and she certainly would not dare to look at Axel for the rest of her human life.

✗ Eleven

- She finally accepted?
- She asked for time to think.
- Are you sure?
   Axel frowned.
- Why are you asking this?
- Your mouth is bloody.
He licked the corners of the mouth.
- She cared about my thirst.
Leah felt a twinge of jealousy, but not expressed. She just did Axel think and rethink what happened throughout the day.
- Leah, will she accept?
- You are abusing of my power.
- Just answer my question.
- I do not really know. This is already beyond my reach.
He did not hear what Leah said, because plunged into a deep sleep on the sofa. As it has taken only a few drops of the blood of Raven, it was reasonable to make him feel satisfied and sleepy. Leah departed, leaving him sleep in peace.

Raven was in the kitchen finishing the duties of college while Kira was asleep in the room. She could not concentrate on the duties, after all, a lot has happened in one day so that they could understand.
- Raven Daewron?
She lifted her head and looked toward a low-blonde girl with brown eyes and red clothes average height.
- I suppose you must be Leah.
- Axel talked about me?
- Yes.
- I came to talk about it.
Raven pointed out a chair for her as politely as she could. Leah sat, staring at the girl.
- You know what is the main responsibility of a Bloodluster?
   She shook her head.
- A Bloodluster has a duty to be by the master and never abandon it. It may not look it, but they are tightly dependent on their Bloddlusters to maintain strength and appearance.
- I did not know that.
- Axel did not want you to summon it. Anyway, his appearance was completely renovated just because I felt the taste of her blood. You can not abandon it.
- He gave me the right to choose what I want or not.
- Are you blind? He is desperate! I'm sure you saw the state of him this morning.
Raven was forced to agree. She felt that he needed her, and how it would look but all her plans? She could not marry, could not have children and could even surrender to work as a psychologist because they would be locked into a vampire. As much as she admired Axel and saddened when reminded of his story, she had to think about the future and the consequences.
- I can not abandon everything that I planned to simply become food for someone.
- You're a small worldly and selfish mind. Axel suffered all this time to let her free. He was fooling himself taking my blood all this time to let you saved it! - Leah took the bandage neck and showed deep fang marks. Were not common prey, the prey were Axel, showing the sheer desperation to feed him.
- I'm so sorry.
- Is that all you have to say? I'm stuck with him and he is suffering for centuries waiting for you to be born in the end to hear you're sorry?
- I chose not to be Bloodluster anyone. If he wants to, will have to wait some more time.
Leah growled and stood up from the chair.
- You will regret for denying a master like Axel. Others will come after you and he will suffer to protect an ungrateful and selfish as you.
Raven did not answer. Once Leah left, she started to dry the tears. She did not ask to be a thing. She began to regret having tried to be nice to him in the morning. If he had continued far, her life would follow normally.

✗ Ten

 - Raven! Raven!
Raven was completely lost in thoughts, even though Kira screamed, she was not listening. The dinner was in place for over half an hour and she had not yet appeared.
- RAVEN DAEWRON!
- I'm not going to dinner, Kira.
- How is it? You make me scream like crazy for half an hour to tell me that does not want dinner? What is your problem?
- Homework from the college.
- You left everything to the last day again? Well, if so ...
She hated having to lie to Kira, but it was necessary. If she was not even believing in everything, how to make someone believe? It was impossible. Besides, no one could say what she should or should not do. Raven was confused on many factors, but especially on that and decide what to feel by Axel Slade. She should depart or approach? Love or hate? Be submissive or independent? Remember his touch was causing her heart wanted to run to him no matter how much blood he took it. Maybe this was the effect of the vampires to quench thirst, but what was inside was not merely an attraction, but something deeper, as if his presence was essential for her to stay alive.
Raven tried to find more information about the Bloodlusters, but there was nothing, absolutely nothing that Axel had not already counted. Because he's still a day to think she wanted to see Axel and understand what would be the position she accepted her case be Bloodluster. The problem was that she did not know where to find it.
My darling, I'm waiting for you in the library.
She looked around, but saw no one.
Does not recognize my voice? Come, do not be afraid.
It was the voice of Axel. How did he know she wanted him? It was not a coincidence he was in the library at this time. Moreover, as he managed to communicate with her at such a long distance? Anyway, she could not waste this chance.
- Kira, I have to go to the library to do some research. Do not wait for me.
- Okay, but take care not to get locked inside.
Raven ran down the stairs as fast as he could and came to bilbioteca in seconds. She searched for Axel, but saw no one. Everything was there desert.
- Are you looking for me, my love?
The girl was startled by the voice of Axel coming from behind her.
- How did you know I wanted to see you?
- You are my Bloodluster, our minds were always connected. We can know the thoughts of each other and can communicate at a distance. But I guess you did not care about it.
-. No. Actually I wanted to know more about my "benefits" as Bloddluster.
   Axel gave a half smile.
- Come with me. I can not explain anything without ensuring that someone sees us.
She took his hand and followed him.
- Look into my eyes, not away from them.
Raven obeyed and before she thought of looking to the side, they were already in the apartment of Axel.
- Noble Vampires have powers that no other has. This can be considered one of the best. But we're not here to talk about me, right? What would you like to know?
- What will I gain by being his Bloodluster? What will I lose it? What kind of treatment will I receive?
   Axel smiled tenderly.
- You will gain everything I've said, protection, immunity to disease, affection and love. On the other hand, you'll have to give up your family, friends and of course his blood. You could go to college and achieve his dream, but in my care and living under my roof.
- What about treatment? You treat me like a servant?
- This varies from prime to prime. My treatment is different. I do not see her as servant, but as something valuable. There is a link between the master and the Bloodluster and that many ignore, but I am not able. If it were me, I'd keep you in this apartment with me forever.
- So our feelings are connected too?
- In a way, yes, but they just solidify when you accept to be my Bloodluster.
Raven swallowed. She could not muster arguments against everything that Axel was proposing to her in a transparent and honest way, with all the pros and cons exist.
- You said I'd win love, right?
- Yes.
- But this is not just an illusion for me to continue giving my blood without resistance? After all, if your believe that you really love me, I never would create resistance on anything.
- You think very well. Do not tell me you did not realize the connection we have when I touched you.
- I felt, but how can you tell me this is love?
- How can you tell me it's not love?
- Because we do not know ourselves.
- Everything is based on the archaic method of knowledge, is not it? I'm not referring to this kind of love. I'm referring to the love that a person has to take care of another as if it were part of it.
She began to understand the vision of Axel, but something prevented her from indulging. The girl looked at him and saw that his eyes were on the iris with turquoise dots and he swallowed hard discreetly.
- Are you thirsty?
- You realized.
Raven did not know how to get out of that situation, but the simplest answer would refuse. Axel had agreed on every point and say what she thought did not weigh on her conscience. He was not asking for anything at all and she was not even hinting at a possible headquarters. The master it needed it at that moment.
She was slowly approaching, but without looking at him. Axel understood what she was doing.
- Are you sure what you're doing?
- Actually, no. But I'm here to find out, is not it?
Axel took her hand and put her finger on his lips. Raven again felt his fangs piercing her skin, but without any pain.
- You do not seem satisfied.
- And I'm not, but for me it's enough. While you did not say yes, I can not put my fangs here. - He stroked her neck with his index finger.
- You can not or do not want?
- Both. I do not want because you will run out quickly and I can not because I have to respect his decision. But considering that you had for me is extremely valuable. - He looked at the clock - you need to go, is not it? After all, Kira will think you got stuck inside.
- You are right.
- You're not walking. Protection, do you remember?
The same way I arrived at the apartment, arrived at the library. Axel let go, but Raven did not want to distance.
- You have a few hours until dawn. Think carefully, okay?
- Yes.
- What happened?
- It's nothing.
   Axel's lips touched hers.
- Do not misjudge it, okay? This is the parting between the master and the Bloodluster when separation is necessary. Now go home. See you tomorrow.
Raven was ecstatic by the proximity of Axel not found her voice to say goodbye. Just nodded and followed the path to the apartment where Kira was waiting. Just when she thought she would get solutions, all he got was an even greater doubt.

✗ Nine

Kira had not yet returned from work and it made Raven in peace. Anyway, she still was not totally at peace, because every time she looked at the book, she remembered every word printed on it and could not shake the idea that Axel Slade could be involved in this somehow.
   The bell rang.
- How did you find my house?
- Students who live here know each other.
Raven opened the way for him to enter.
- Finished reading?
- Yes.
- And what did you think?
Raven closed the door and stood in front of him.
- Axel, you are the prince of that book? And that girl who died to save you is part of my family?
Axel was in siêncio in principle, meditating on what should answer first.
- Yes, Natassia Daewron part of your family. She was the only one who did not become mundane like you.
- What do you mean?
- I am the prince of that book. I killed my father, I was chained and hated by all the people of my kingdom, and now I'm here thanks to Natassia Daewron.
- You can not be the guy that book. According to dates, it all happened for over four hundred years. You should be ...
- Dead? Yes, I should, but I'm not.
- Axel, if this is a kind of joke, I'm not liking.
- You do not want to know everything? Now the truth is in front of you, why do not you want to see it?
He took off his shirt, revealing scars marks thick chains throughout the body, proving to all that was written in that book. Axel really was Prince turquoise eyes that had been condemned by his own father for something that nobody knew.
- It must have been painful.
- When you get used to it, the pain disappears.
- But what about your eyes? They are not the turquoise color as described in the book. His eyes are brown.
Axel found a pin in his pocket and jabbed his finger Raven. She, paralyzed with fear, let the boy put her finger on his lips. Soon, she felt two pointy things sticking her finger again, but the girl did not dare look away from the eyes of Axel, who were leaving the brown tone to become turquoise, as it was written.
- Can not be ... You're ...
- A monster? A demon? Yes, I am. Because of my dad, turned into a creature that survives on the blood of others.
- Then Natassia was also ... a vampire?
- Yes. Her blood was the first one I tasted.
- So everyone born after her are vampires too?
-. No. She was a special case, but his entire lineage is human.
Raven did not know would not go through all this a crazy or cry because he felt it was all true. There was no space for special effects in her house and she knew when someone was lying and identify when someone was telling the truth. And Axel was clearly telling the truth.
- Why do you tell me this?
- For three reasons: first, because you wanted to know about me. The second, because you are a descendant of Natassa and I highly doubt anyone knows this story. And the third reason is because you are my Bloodluster.
- What is a Bloodluster?
- Is a person who has the target to serve a noble vampire. The act of serving this vampire is based on the simple fact of Bloodluster give their blood to quench the thirst of the master until the death. No other blood is so precious to a noble vampire as blood Bloodluster.
- So you're saying I'm nothing more nor less than your source of food for the rest of my life?
- You are not just a source of food for me. You are what keeps me alive, is what I'm most precious. A noble vampire Bloodluster must protect at all costs, even if that means dying.
For a moment, Raven looked at her finger, which was drilled by his prey, but he was completely healed; even the pin hole was not there. Axel followed her gaze.
- The tusks of the master never leave marks on a Bloodluster and any injury you may have my fangs are able to heal. You are one of the few people who have that luxury.
- I would not say it is a luxury.
   Axel smiled.
- You will receive protection, love and care and not get sick over the rest of your life just to give your blood. Yes, this is a luxury. Some Bloodlusters can reach the hearts of their masters to eventually become immortal.
- You're talking about marriage?
- Yes. But do not be so confident, I can just use you for food as well as Leah used all this time.
- Who is Leah?
- A half-breed renegade who met by chance. She helped me put an end to the kingdom of my father without that call attention to the vampires. She is my accomplice, we may say so. But returning to the subject, if you are a good Bloodluster, I can think about the possibility to grant you immortality.
- I do not accept being told that their Bloodluster.
- Okay - Axel stroked her face gently - you have a day and a half to think about it. And do not forget to keep a secret of it all.
Axel faded, but Raven still felt his touch on her face burning, as if it were burning her skin. As much as the fact receive many benefits for giving so little was tempting, she still feared the boy's behavior. Raven did not know if he blamed himself for having been born in that family or blamed Natassia Daewron for all this.

✗ Eight

Raven could not believe Axel or she could have something to do with the whole story he had just read. Should be some coincidence, of course. This could even handle some event that happened in her family, after the girl who died was named Natassia Daewron. Anyway, she could not stay longer in the library and also remembered that Axel told her to meet him as soon as she finished reading the book.
Everyone had already left the college and all she could see were teachers walking from one side to the other and the director, but no sign of Axel. She was in the direction of the director, hoping that Axel was doing extra work again, but it was not where he was was unlikely.
- Can I help you, Miss Daewron?
- Do you know if Axel Slade is working beyond office hours?
- He was in the computer room, but he came out some time ago. I suppose he has gone home and you should do the same.
She followed the path of the apartment, frustrated and totally overwhelmed with the information that she could not believe they were real mind. If all this had actually happened, now she really understood the vision of Axel before the world, but should make sure everything before actually believe in coincidences only.
When she was in the apartment door, she saw a biilhete Kira:
Do not wait for me, I have to do extra work today.
~ Kira.
And it was the first time that Raven would have wanted the time to think and rethink, because when Kira did extra work in the place where she worked, she usually had to stay three or four hours more, sometimes she had to stay until sunset .
She sat on the sofa and took the book in his hands, looking page by page and often reading the paragraphs again, but in random order. Raven felt in a completely unknown sea.

- You gave the book to her?
- Be quiet, do not wanna hear you say anything about it.
- But how do you do it?
- She is a descendant of Natassia Daewron, right? Why hide it from her, then?
Leah stared at Axel mirror with a frown as he finished making a dressing herself.
- This will not end well.
- I'm not asking your opinion on anything, you just need for you to accomplish your work.
- Axel, what do you think? Not because his past is shady you need to torment all descendants of those involved.
- I'm not harassing anyone. Leah. If she wants to worry about me, she should know exactly who is dealing with. You for being who you are, you should thank me for it.
- I'm happy, believe me. What worries me is thinking of her reaction.
Axel was not worried about it. He knew that Raven could deny everything at first, but she could not escape the future and not the truth surrounding her from now on.
- Do you think I should find her?
   Leah arched a blonde eyebrow.
- And you now cares what I think?
- I'm asking this for their gifts, not you as a person.
She paused to think a bit.
- The sooner you do this, it will be better. Now that you've shown the truth, she has a right to know everything.
- Not everything is based on law, Leah. However, as soon as I clear this sooner you'll be free.
Leah disappeared through the window and Axel went out the front door. He did not know exactly where Raven lived, but that would not be a problem.
