║☓ Fifth Bloody Rose

Achila's eyes were slowly opening and her vision was adjusting gradually to the single ray of sun coming through the black velvet curtains. She did not recognize that room. Where was she? The last thing she remembered was that Blake said he became a vampire to take care of her. Perhaps this was one of his powers?

She tried to sit up, but she felt something on her waist. As her vision was clearer, Achila realized that Blake was at her side, asleep. It was true the things were different now. If she was out there, the sun would be her shield, while they all slept until the night arrives.

See the boy sleeping so peacefully like that reminded her of when they were children. Yes, even each having their own bed, Blake usually slept with her. He seemed so helpless, so fragile, but now he could ever care for and was even stronger than her. Perhaps this was one reason for which she felt angry; after all, she lost all the life of her brother and now see him like that was strange.

 - Sorry.

His eyes were wide open directly focused on her. For a moment, Achila managed to capture that gentle look he had before.

- I could feel your eyes on me all the time. Do you need something?
- No, I'm well. I did not want to wake you.

He said nothing. Only analyzed her expression with caution and curiosity.

 - You do not look that person anymore as strong as before.
- What do you mean?
- Once you were hardest with me and always tried to make me grow. You were extremely confident and strong, but after that ... You have become much more fragile, I can see it clearly now.

She lowered her head, feeling embarrassed that he had noticed.

- That's why I do not regret my choice. You took care of me for a long time and now it's my turn to repay it.
 - Blake ... You were so different. I never thought I'd see you like this.

He smiled as he always did, until someone knocked the door.

- Stay here, did you understand?
 - Why?
- I do not know what goes on in their heads. Please do not leave this room.

He closed the door behind him, so she could not see who had knocked.- I'm glad you've managed to bring her up here, though not want her too next to you again.

 - And how could I trust you?
- You grew up here, Blake. You know very well who we are.
- And that's why I worry. You did this to me - he showed the fang marks - How can I believe that when I return, she will be alive? I just can not trust you.
- And how can you ensure that she will not use her weapons and kill one by one in your absence? How can we trust her?
- She's my problem. I consider myself responsible for every thing she does in this castle.
 - Right. But she can not be with you. We have prepared a room for her.
- No. - Blake growled hungrily
- She'll stay with me. If not, I will join her a lost cause, but you know very well that we could win.
- You are fully responsible for what she does from now on. If something wrong happens, you both will pay the price.
- I trust her.

As he returned to the bedroom, a shadow passed down the hall and he knew very well who it was.

- I told you not to leave the room.
- I'm sorry, but I thought they were going to punish you.
 - They will not go.
 - What happened? You seem upset.
- It's nothing. I just need some rest.

Achila knew him very well. If something was wrong he would not say never, even under torture. However, to not lose him, she chose to remain silent. He lay still upset, but she did not care. He was there, that was what mattered.

- What are you doing?
- It was like you liked to sleep. You loved when I touched your hair.

His expression softened.

- I missed it every time I went to sleep. Please do not leave this room without me.
- I promise.

║☓ Fourfth Bloody Rose

Achila did not have the slightest idea of what was happening into Blake's head at that moment. However, she would not admit it. In the older sister position, she would have to care for him until the end and that was what she wanted now. Blake had his unique skills and together they would be unstoppable. There was still time for them to reverse the situation and she needed to say it to him.
 - Blake, please, we can still save the rest of humanity. It's not over completely, believe me.
- Achila, there are no more humans to populate this world again. We could not reverse the contaminated humans. Please leave this blank because you will just suffer.
- Why are you so concerned about this? You said yourself that there is no way to reverse the situation, so leave me alone. I will not leave my origin to join to them.

Blake came up two steps, making only a few centimeters separated them. He lowered his head until his lips were near her ear.

- Because it took me long to find you and I can not stand the idea of losing you again. I do not want to think about the possibility of you being attacked by someone while I'm safe. That's not right.
 - And how can you guarantee that I will be safe with you? They will use me as food, just as they do today with the humans who have not been transformed. Even the animals are not escaping that, why me, the person who hunted them all this time, would be spared the suffering?
- Because they want you as an ally and not an enemy. I think you have noticed that they are now fighting against each other because of the territory conquest and who has you as an ally, the victory is assured. They do not want to hurt you, I assure you.
 - You're lying. I can see deep into your eyes it's a lie. There are another reason that motivate you to come here. Blake, I want the truth.

He sighed and pulled back slightly. Blake dropped his coat collar and showed her two deep marks of prey that had been made for years. Achila rubbed her eyes, without having the ability to believe what she was seeing.

- Are you one of them? Blake, what have you done ?!
 - What it was right. If I were still human, I could not survive like you. Also, I got numerous benefits to long and short term with it.
- That's why you were defending them so far. They defiled you completely and I was a fool for not seeing it the first time I realized it was you.
- You are alone. I will not betray my race to join a cause that is lost for over ten years.
- You BETRAYED your race! Blake, you were human! You belonged to the largest clan of hunters! How could you throw it all away?
- The war now is another, Achila, and you are the first who will suffer if we do not make a decision. If you come with me I promise I will not let anything happen to you until this is over.

That was the first time Achila cried in ten years. Any cut or wound she suffered didn't hurt more than to know that the only person who still meant something to her was lost to them as well. She could not look at him without having the desire to shoot all the ammunition of the gun that she carried directly into him.

 - Go away.
 - Do whatever you want of your life. I'm just providing a path for survival and I can not go back without you.
Blake burned by slapping face Achila had given him, however, he did not retaliate because she knew she was too upset to think what he was doing and that was always a defect of her.
- I'm not going with you! I'm not going to any of you!

 - She could not control her voice, which was shaky and choked because of the tears.

There was only one means to take her with him. Blake tightened his arms around her and took tenderly as he watched her trying to reject him, however, no one can reject anything that want so much.

- Why did you do it, Blake? Why did you let them transform you?
- Shhh ....
 - Please answer me.
- To take care of you. - He said, as he watched Achila close her eyes and fall asleep.

║☓ Third Bloody Rose

Those eyes. Yes, Achila remembered that profound gaze that Blake always had. The black hair and blue eyes were the same, there was no way she was cheating. He was still on the tree branch, analyzing her features carefully. Does he not remember her anymore? She flinched at the idea, but without taking her eyes over him.
 - Blake?

He came down and landed a few feet from her. Blake had grown up and was ten centimeters taller than her, besides having all the traits similar to her, except for eye color. Achila looked for the symbol of Allucard, just so she would know if he really was her brother.

- Are you looking for it?
 - He showed the tattoo of a black rose on his left wrist.
- I thought you were ...
 - I also thought I would die, but I became what I am now. I've been looking for you for a long time.

There was something different about him. Blake had always been a loving person that conveyed warmth and sweetness, but now he was cold and distant. Certain was the fact that they were separated for years, yet he would not change much, it was like he had become one of them.

 - You ... You were looking for me?
 - Yes. Why the surprise.? You're my sister, right?
 - Of course, but you seem different.
- I did not have the same fate as you. I grew up among them, it is natural that this has happened.

Achila not know what to say to him. There was nothing to do. He was right and she knew it very well.

- Why do you want to find me?
 - Because you're the only human hunting that is alive and ready to reverse the game and I want to make you understand that this is crazy.
- What are you saying? Blake, I'm not the only human, you're here! We can not let our family complete ruined because of it!

Blake held her wrists firmly, but without hurting her.

- You are obsessed with something that is already lost. Achila, you have to listen to me.

She was silent, staring into his eyes.

 - They're not like you think. It will get better slowly now, they are doing what humans haven't done.
 - They are lying to you, Blake. If everything will improve, why they exterminated more than two thirds of the human population and turned the rest into creatures like them?
 - Because the human mind is too limited to understand and live with creatures who are not like them. You are an example of this; Achila, you are not waiting to see what might happen. The legacy of Allucard, as well as those of other clans, finished. The hunters lost. The humanity lost.
 - How can you say that? Blake! This is absurd.
- I'm sorry for what I will tell you, but I'm ashamed to have you as my sister. You like my older sister, you should show tolerance, but it seems I was wrong.
 - Blake, listen, I just want what's best for you. Yes, I am grateful that they have created you as well, but now you have to understand that your place is with me as a true Allucard and not with a legion of vampires. Please stop protecting them.

He looked at her with sadness. How do you convince someone as stubborn as her? Blake did not want to use force, let alone tell the whole truth to her, because he knew that if he did Achila will get mad. However, he could not allow her to continue as well. He was not doing it because they had ordered, but for a reason that only he understood. Even being the youngest brother, he could also think about what was best for his sister, right? After all, only a year apart separated them and she was alone, without any assistance, unlike his situation.

║☓ Second Bloody Rose

Achila could not sleep, no matter how hard she tried. That gypsy managed to spoil her mood with everything. Blake would have no way to find her, since even she didn't know where she was. Everything had changed dramatically and nothing human was left out. Countries had other names, other governments, and more importantly, other people. She felt the only human in this world and that, as she did not want to admit, she was alone.

He felt a fool for trying to capture the smell of his sister. It was like he was a dog that working for someone when in fact it was nothing of that. His eyes adjusted to the dark and he could see everything that was hidden among the trees, however, with no sign of Achila.

Blake landed gently on the branch of a eucalyptus strong enough to support his weight and caught the scent of blood and ashes. Some vampire had been dead for a few hours and he knew exactly who had killed him.

She stepped down from the tree where she sat and started walking again, trying to forget everything. Yes, it would not be easy, but what could she do? There was nothing left to her anymore and all those memories now became too heavy a burden for her to carry any longer.

Achila heard the rustle of leaves on a branch and drew the gun from her coat, waiting for whoever would show up. However, the only thing she could see was a shadow leaping with feline grace from branch to branch. She did not lower the gun, although she had already noticed that the person was not looking down and not at her.

Blake felt someone staring him, however he would not waste time looking for whoever it was. He wanted to get to the place where that vampire had been killed to finally manage to find Achila and finish with all that in one way or another. As he progressed, the more he felt the smell of blood and ashes and realized that was getting closer to finding her. How could she be after ten years? He did not know, but he was sure he would find out soon if he ignored the person who was watching him.

Achila realized that the person was not about to stop to look in her direction, but she knew she could not be sure he would not attack her. So she ended up following him, gun in hand and eyes focused on him. As she walked, the girl realized he was going back to where that vampire had been dead for some time. Why that shade wanted to find those ashes was something she would find out soon, but what mattered was truly know who was that shadow, as from the moment she saw it, Achila felt a lump forming in her throat as if I knew it but did not know where.

The snow had given a truce and the moonlight grew stronger, increasing the ability to see it. The shadow was moving faster and that made it harder for her. Anyway, she pointed the gun at it and waited for the right moment, when it was near the moonlight.

He was getting close and the moonlight the renewed his forces, however, he still felt that same person following him. The main light of the moon was closer and he would have even more speed, maybe enough to get rid of those who were following him. It was enough just a few more steps.

She did not believe what I was seeing. It could not be him. If it was, how did he have so skillfully? It should be a mistake.

Achila held the gun with trembling hands of anxiety and shot, without even knowing what would happen.

A shot whizzed by his right arm, causing a tear in his sleeve he was wearing, but that was enough to burn a bit of his skin. No doubt that shot came from the gun of a hunter. No; from a huntress.

Blake looked down and saw the person who was following him all this time. It was exactly who he was looking for and whose aim was still on him. He landed on the nearest branch and stared at her, trying to make sure it was really the person he was looking for all this time.

║☓ First Bloody Rose

It would not help staring at the moon and expect some answer, it was more than obvious that it would never come. She pulled the collar of her coat up, blocking the wind and put the gun in the belt, resuming the walk to nowhere. In the region where she was weren't  human families, so she could not ask for shelter for the night. Anyway, she was already used to being several nights without sleep and survive on small animals that were almost dead from loss of blood and water from rivers that were not contaminated, which were few.

She did not know where to start or what to do. The fact that her brother be alive left her bewildered, because he could be anywhere in the world at that moment

.- Do not worry, what you seek will soon find you.

A gypsy vampire, something relatively common there. Achila looked at her and kept going, without giving any attention to that, because she knew that she would require a payment for something that the girl did not want and had not even asked.

- Wait a moment. - The gypsy held her hand by the sleeve of the coat - I will not charge you absolutely nothing.
- That's good to know, but I did not ask anything; I do not want to know about my future, especially coming from someone like you.
- What are you saying?
- Gypsy Vampires only know how to fool everyone to make money with their false predictions.- Take the glove from the left hand.

Achila did not know where it would come, but was prepared for anything that could happen. Cautiously, she took off her glove and reached for the gypsy.

- Achila Allucard, right? Blake Allucard, your brother is not so far from you; however, need not look for him, he is looking for you for reasons only he can understand. The blood that was shed from your parents are still alive in both of you.
- I do not want to hear any more! What do you know about it? What you have to do with all this? The death of my parents, the disappearance of Blake, all this is my problem!

The gypsy remained silent. She had not even finished speaking what the girl did not know and was not going to say. Achila was with nerves on edge to know of her brother and, therefore, the girl deserved to be alone. Just the fact that she knew the boy she was looking for a story that, despite being little, it was enough to make her upset.

He did not remember much that happened in the past before that night, however, he thought unimportant. His decision was made and just what he wanted was to convince his sister to take the same decision. The death of his parents should be left behind, because one way or another, they could not take care of everything themselves.

- Lord Allucard.

Blake directed his gaze to the left.

 - Where have you been so far?
 - Since I owe satisfactions of my life for you?
- Your duty is to find your sister.
- I know my duties, but I do not remember having promised that I would be the rest of my life involved in it, she can not do anything alone.

The man looked at him closely, capturing the feeling of the boy in every word he said. However, he failed to capture anything. He just turned and disappeared, leaving Blake again involved in thoughts.

- What are you doing now, Achila?

He went out the door, trying to find the girl again. Where to start? They have not seen each other for more than ten years, he was not sure how to do it, but the blood never changed and that would be the brand to recognize her.

║☓ Ꮦaste the Ᏸℓσσ∂

Every time she closed her eyes, she remembered the blood that was shed on the white floor of her home. However, the worst thing was to remember that she was the only one who was alive after all. He had seen their parents being killed and his brother being taken away from her as she lost consciousness and parody forces to go after him for ten years. For this reason, thinking of he might still be alive was a waste of time, yet she would look for him to make sure of that. Anyway, what good? After all these years, he hardly remember her, but so it would be worth trying to find him. But what would she do after it? What would she say? That way there would forward? She did not know, as long as had been orphaned and lost her only relatives who was still alive, nothing was left to him. The only hope she had was trying to grow and survive on her own in a world where the human race was about to disapear after the Allucard had fallen that night. Despite all efforts, they had gained enough strength to fight back and put an end to, at least, two-thirds of the human population that existed in the world and now all was just a field battles over land. Now that they got what they wanted, humans could be set aside and only she was standing to extend the legacy of Allucard, which could be in vain.

Her eyes widened when he heard hurried footsteps of one of those creatures running toward her. Do not think about it now, she told herself, you can not be afraid. The creature didn't see to be waiting for the girl to make decisions but wanted to put an end to her once and for all.

 - What are you waiting for? - His voice, like those of all the kind, left her nauseous - No one will come to save you.

That smile completely full of scorn was something that only they possessed. None of them ever had a smile that showed real tenderness, only falsehood and interest, but always illustrating irony, which was enough for her to take the index finger to the silver trigger and shoot. Her eyes followed his body falling in the snow and staining the white ground red, while slowly turned into ashes.

- You should follow the example of your brother. The Allucard are a legend and you can not do anything to change that. We are the majority and you're alone.

The wind carried the ashes away, but she would not listen had been said. While she was still alive and fighting, the Allucard still had a mission and not become a legend, never, even after what he said show. She looked at the blood stain in the snow and thought of her brother. So he was alive, but how the creature know that? What he meant by "You should follow the example of your brother"?

The girl looked at the moon, which was almost getting full behind the clouds at dawn.

- Blake ... What did you do?

She had arrived first. Certainly she should be waiting in the mansion door at this hour and for this he needed to hurry to find her. As he approached, he realized that people reaction changed as soon as he appeared in the streets. His body was aching because of the burns and he could not waste time trying to understand what was happening. The carbon of the fire was still in his lungs, causing him to have crises from time to time.
- What is this? - He heard a whisper.
- I also do not understand ... It must be a mistake.
- Yes, he should be dead. Even his daughter know that.
 - Poor girl, I'm sorry for her.

He approached the two people who were talking and looking at him. As he approached, the two stiffened, but on the spot.

- Who said that to you?
 - A traveler who was passing through the outskirts of your mansion.
 - How did you have the audacity to tell this to my daughter? Do you have the remotest idea of what did you do?
- We are very sorry, sir. - Both lowered their heads.
 - Where is she? - No response - Where is Serena?
- We do not know, sir.
- We only know that it was that way.

Luke followed the direction in which they pointed. At least she followed the direction of the mansion. He made the horse run through the streets to get in the mansion.{...}

I just could not believe it yet. Anyway, he promised me he would come and I promised to wait for him right here. My horse was resting as I walked restlessly from one side to the other watching the people go towards their homes. Every sound of horse hooves, my heart clenched with anxiety, but soon it hurt to know that was not him.

The first drops of rain were starting to fall again. I did not mind getting all wet, but I wanted at least someone to tell me what really happened. Claude could not have survived, he can not keep stepping in this world after all. I am really grateful for he created me today, but the fact that he burned the mansion and have hidden the fact from me all this time make it become a monster.

My dress and my hair was completely wet because of the rain. With nothing to do, I sat in the mansion door and propped the chin over the knees while I shivered with cold. My eyelids were weighing, but I did not want to sleep. I could not sleep while my dad was not here with me.{...}

I woke up not know how long after, but enough that my clothes to dry. However, I did not remember having slept on something soft. I was getting up slowly and finally realized I was in a large room and the curtains open, showing the rain outside falling mercilessly. I got out of bed and realized I had a towel over my shoulders and the fire was on. The bedroom door was closed, but open and looked down the hall. It was a like the mansion that my father had before being burned.

My father.

I had forgotten him. I promised myself I would not sleep until I saw him arrive safe at home, but had no control over my sleep. I went down the stairs the fast as I could, but I bumped with someone on the first step.

- Where are you going in such a hurry?
 - I need to see my ... - that voice. Yes, I would recognize anywhere.
- What you need to see?

I raised my head slowly and my eyes met the black and blue eyes I knew very well. He was there with the burn marks, but he was fine.

 - I knew it could not be true!
 - I always keep my promises.

I missed his tight hug and his smell, which brought me peace and security, completely different from what I felt with Claude.

- Claude could not survive. I'm sorry.
 - It's all right. After all, he only got what he deserved.

In the end, all that I went through during my whole life so far just seemed to blur in my memory. Claude, as well as all the fears I had and the pain that I felt began to fade from my mind, as if they never existed. It was as if all this had never happened.
