║☓ Twenty First Bloody Rose

The Achila's eyes widened for a moment to look forward. A few drops of blood ran down from the Valentine's right hand while he was holding a small dagger made of silver.
- Abel - the voice of Valentine was not exactly calm - I told you to take care of what was happening outside, did not I?
- I could not just let you have fun with them. Our deal was that I would kill them, remember?
- You would kill them only if all the orders I gave you were done, but they were not.
Abel gritted his teeth to hold back a growl, but this expression has not gone unnoticed by the other.
- Get out of here immediately. This is an order.
- You're nobody to give me orders, Valentine! The only reason I have accepted everything that you planned and said till today was because I saw in you an admirable example of intelligence I've ever seen. However, no one gives me orders!
- If so, then I must tell you that you are no longer useful to me. A puppet who does not obey is nothing more nothing less a problem.
Achila and Blake looked at each other. Valentine apparently had lost interest in them at the time to punish Abel.
- Valentine, what are you thinking? We have an alliance, you can not in any way point a gun at me.
- I do not have any kind of alliance with you from now on.
- Valentine, you're rushing.
- No, I'm not. There are times I'm waiting to say this and finally this day has come: die, Abel.
Valentine prepared two arrows to pierce the white armor of Abel. This, in turn, was paralyzed by the indifference with which the noble archer had broken the alliance and was now ready to kill him.
In this moment of distraction, Valentine did not hesitate to shoot the arrows. Abel was able to use the sword to protect himself, but did not pay attention to the movements of his former ally, who had made a subtle nod to an archer who were on the wall.
The white armor of Abel began to be dyed red, and the hall floor. He panted, leaning on his sword as he tried to regain his balance. The pain he felt was great in order to make him lose part of his senses.
- That's really pathetic. - Valentine looked at Abel with contempt while preparing an arrow made entirely of silver - Die, naughty puppet.
Abel fell dead in his own pool of blood, with the silver arrow pierced into his head. Soon, his body turned into ashes and to mix the blood, making Valentine feel sick.
- I want that someone will get the blood of this damn of my way right now. This makes me sick.
Valentine heard hurried footsteps in the hallway to his left. Of course, the brothers take advantage this chance to escape. He saw the trail of blood belonging to Blake Allucard and chains that bound the girl were all broken.
- Lord, will we go takethem back?
- Let them. In the state in which the boy is the most they can do is get to the gates. If she wants him to stay alive, then both will have to go back - he looked at the soldier - No, I do not need more of them, this war is already won for me. Do you know what I mean?
- Yes sir.

║☓ Twenth Bloody Rose

Valentine shook his head in negative as the smell of blood came to his sharp nostrils.
- I really admire the persistence of your brother to get through Abel and get here in the state he is in.
- What do you know him? You will pay dearly when I be free!
- That's true, you can not feel smell of blood at long distances. So I anticipate you that his situation is extremely precarious, I'll be surprised if he can follow your scent here, after all he is losing so much blood that his nose should no longer be able to capture other than the smell of his own blood.
- Blake ...
He captured the concern and sadness girl.
- You still want to sacrifice your brother in this war? Achila, we have much more power than them, especially now that Richard is no longer with them.
- This is your fault.
- All is fair in war, you have to get used to it. However his interest is not in Richard, but in saving you from us.
- Valentine, please leave that clan alone. You have the power to end this war now.
- Yes I have. But I can not do this without receiving anything in return.
- What can you gain by killing them? They do nothing against no one, they have always lived of fighters who have within the limits of their land! Valentine, leave them alone, I'm begging you. Blake does not deserve to suffer more, he did not even want to be their leader for this war.
- Achila, you have not realized that he's putting his own life to lose because of you? He does not care about the war against his clan, but what we do with you here. As Abel kidnapped him and you came to save him, he wants to do the same, however this is part of my plans.

Even bloodied and partly weak, Blake sniffed the air and followed the sister of tracks supported on the boom. Apparently the soldiers who should take care of the castle should be outside, because not found anyone so far. The smell of the person who was with Achila had disappeared, giving opportunity for him to come and save her.
- Blake ... Idiot! Why did you come here?
- I would not forgive me if you ended up being killed by them.
Blake was cutting the chains to free his sister, but again felt something piercing his flesh with a sharp, excruciating pain. Hands-free, but the chained ankles, Achila knelt beside her brother trying to take the arrow that was on his back. Even with the armor, that arrow was extremely sharp, as if it had been made to drill resistant objects.
- When can I see my arrows worked well.
The boy was even more tormented by the pain and be losing more blood, however, as could heal the wound left hand, at least could use both hands to fight.
- Lower your spear, boy. I do not plan to kill you now.
- Your problem is with the clan of Richard, let my sister out of it.
- Unfortunately I can not, unless she decides to accept my offer. What do you say, Achila? Will you let your brother suffering continues as it is now? Wasn't you who wanted to protect him above any cost after what happened to your family?
- Achila, whatever he has proposed, is not worth it. You do not trust vampires, remember? How can you believe that he will fulfill what he promised? We will find a way to get out of here together and I will not go back without you, this was the promise I made to myself and to Liam.
Valentine evaluated the expression of Achila carefully. It was apparent that she was giving in to her brother's arguments, though he did not care about that. Part of her was tempted to accept his proposal whenever a Blake's blood drop fell on the white hall floor.
- Blake - her voice was hoarse - I have seen the blood of our parents being spilled on a white floor like this and do not want to see your blood being shed in the same way. I do not want to lose you to them as well.
- I do not want to lose you to them. Achila, I will not return alone, no matter what Liam or what the other soldiers will think of me. - He lowered his head - the blame is all mine you're here. You always took care of me and protected me and I was not able to do anything for you today. The arrows that hit me were insignificant compared to how much you had suffered alone trying to find me.
The vampire of scarlet eyes was feeling the bitter taste of bile by witness all that, though the doubt in Achila's face was what kept him there, patiently waiting for the outcome of that fraternal sentiment.

║☓ Nineteenth Bloody Rose

- Finally you woke up. I think I overdid the dose of poison in that arrow.
The Achila's vision focused on the face that was close to her. Because of the poison of the arrow who had shot her, the girl was not yet able to fully recognize the forms and persons, unless they concentrate too much into it.
- What happened? Do you not recognize me anymore?
That voice. There was not much time she'd heard that voice. In addition, the shape and physique of the man also were familiar to her. Achila squinted to get a better view and was able to locate a pair of red eyes like blood.
- Valentine, what are you doing here? Why can not I move? Where are my guns? Valentine, answer!
- Be calm, my little huntress. Your weapons are with me to guarantee that you will be a good girl and that's why I held you on this wall. I'm really sorry for that, but I can not risk it.
- What did you do with Blake? I want to see my brother now!
- He's coming for you, do not rush. Abel is taking care of everything.
- Abel?
- Yes, the Belgian that you know.
- Are you together?
- We have an alliance till the Blake's clan disappear altogether.
- So why do we never hear about you?
- I prefer to work in the shadows and anonymous. Abel enjoys being in the spotlight more than anyone else, so I decided to keep my existence a secret and leave you worrying about someone who does not even come close to being a threat. - Valentine laughed - I do not know how can you fear someone so childish and impulsive like him, Abel is extremely predictable and can be defeated at any time. All the more brilliant strategies, such as the murder of Richard, were my ideas.
- Bastard.
- Why so much hate? You do not like vampires, I'm amazed to see those eyes so beautiful overflowing rage.
- If my hands were not tied, certainly I would kill you for it.
- It would be very unfortunate, but I'd be happy to die at your hands. I have a proposition for you, so we can end this war once and for all against the clan of your brother.
She was silent, waiting to hear what kind of nonsense would come out of his mouth.
- Become my wife and I can protect the clan and the land of your brother.
- I'd rather be dead right now.
- I'll let you think about it for now. You may need to get a little time alone and listen to what happens around.
- I will not change my mind.
- I'm a patient man, I'm in no hurry to hear your answer. I know you want to protect your brother this war, but your pride will not let you say yes to my proposal.

Even with his injured leg, Blake ran as fast as he could until see the Abel home among some trees. He slowed so smelled of enemy soldiers and the Belgian himself, who should be waiting for him. The height of the trees, the boy thought he would not be seen if he spent with caution until he can get. As hopped from branch to branch, Blake felt his leg hurt and I could smell his own blood. That was too bad, he thought, but he was halfway and he had promised himself he would not return without Achila.
The wind blew toward him, carrying the smell of blood to the nose of the enemy who were waiting for him. However, they could not be sure of his exact location, because the trees were too close together to let any apparent clue.
The branches that were in front of him were cut in a snap, causing Blake to jump on them to no damage. However, as it became visible, several arrows were thrown at him, one of which hit his left hand. The boy fell to his knees a few meters from Abel.
- Well, well, well, what do have we here? The general leader without any army? This is a dangerous maneuver, my boy, after all you have a clan to protect.
- I'm not leaving without my sister.
- I imagine that Valentine has plans for her, do not worry about it. Go home and take care of this wounds.
- Shut your filthy mouth! What have you done with Achila?
- Try to go through me to discover,  general Allucard.
Blake could not rely firmly on the right leg, which was still bleeding and aching unbearably and now his left hand was in the same situation. However, he could still move with some speed to go without wasting time on Abel.
- You're afraid to move forward? I will do it for you then.
Abel was with the sword pointed at him as he hurriedly ran with a cloud of arrows behind him to reach Blake. Even wounded, the boy managed to make a cut on the right hand of the enemy and disarm him before being hit by arrows. The gates were closed and he leaned on a tree branch to jump over the wall of the castle. He sniffed the air and he did not capture only the smell of his sister, but the smell of another person he did not even know.

║☓ Eighteenth Bloody Rose

Richard's ashes were blown away in the main lobby. The only thing they had left now was wait for enemy movement, which certainly does not take much to happen. Blake still could not believe what was happening to him and, even with the aid of Achila, he was not sure what to do. The leadership was something he never wanted and now that did not know where to go, what to say, what to do.
- This will all end, Blake, do not have to stay that way.
- Achila, you do not know how I'm feeling. I can not believe all this is happening to me of a sudden.
- You are not alone, we are all together. I said I would be at your side, and I will do my best to help you win.
It seemed that something was going on downstairs, since they could hear sounds of guns and people walking from one side to the other.
- My lord! The Northern soldiers returned, and it seems that their leader is also here!
- We have no time to lose, come on!
- What about me?
- You come too, they do not know that you are the leader and we need your skills on the battlefield along with your sister. Some soldiers and a general will be here to take care of the castle.
Blake was not feeling fully comfortable at first with that armor, but the course of the battle he would adapts with it soon. Abel was there, dressed in white and silver armor he always wore, piercing everyone with his sword and without taking his eyes off Blake and Achila, which together had brought down more than half of his soldiers.
- Beautiful armor, it's a shame that it will not protect you for a long time.
Blake nearly had his left shoulder pierced but a Achila shot made Abel's sword flew away.
- You want to play, little girl? - He smiled predatorily - So let's play.
- So come, but it's a shame that so shining armor is not shielded.
Both were removed from the battlefield, and Blake did not know what to do. There were still enemies around and he could not abandon them to help her sister.
- Go help her, Blake. We can take care of these here.
He nodded and used all the speed he could to reach Achila, diverting the Abel seeming exhaustion attacks. Blake threw the spear at them, and narrowly missed Abel.
- You too? So not funny. Two against one is not exactly something fair, even though I'm stronger than you two together.
- Coward.
- Let him go, Achila. You look tired.
- I'm fine, do not ...
Blake did not know where they had shot that arrow, but he knew he had to take it to Liam because only he would know what to do.
- You will not get away with it.
The boy hurried the best I could, but the arrows of the soldiers made him lose the balance from time to time and he felt even more worried. The castle was still distant and, as much as he used all his speed, the archers do not lose sight for any instant. The breathing of Achila was getting weaker and it made him anxious.
One of the arrows hit his right leg, causing him to fall and giving opportunity for soldiers carry the body of the girl to the border, just as they did with him the first time they faced each other.
- Blake, where are you going? You will do exactly what he wants!
- I don't care about what he wants, my sister is more important. I never forgive myself if she dies.
- Blake, you are no longer just a general, get back here! Blake!
- I will not go back without Achila!
Blake took the spear and ran as fast as he could not to lose sight of the archers.
- He is falling into our trap.
- Abel, you know what to do now.
- Yes. Come on, everybody! We have to do better welcoming committee we can.

║☓ Seventeenth Bloody Rose

- Sir! The soldiers are beginning to retreat!
- Are you sure?
- Yes sir. We do not know for what reason, but they are all returning to the North.
After more than a week, Richard did not understand what was going on between that clan. Was this some surveillance to ensure that we will not suffer any other attack? He could not tell.
- They are like more suspicious than usual.
- That does not sound good. - Liam was worried - I'm not having a good feeling about them.
- Anyway, we can do nothing but prepare for whatever comes to pass. Have the soldiers who are guarding enter, there is no reason to keep them on guard around the castle.
Liam did not want to leave Richard alone, however, he could not disobey a direct order. Before he had finished crossing the exit, he hears the sound of a body falling on the floor and glass being shattered.
- Where was this guy?
- I do not know, but certainly it was well hidden.
He was right in not wanting to get away from Richard, however no use whining.
- Call all here immediately.
- What is it, Liam?
The soldiers and generals would not stop whispering to each other about how it happened, after Richard would be strong enough to withstand the wound of an arrow.
- Listen, everyone. - Liam got up and went - there was a trap, and unfortunately we step inside. Richard has fallen because of this arrow, which was poisoned especially for him. Whoever has done it, certainly calculated it well, but we can not surrender.
- Liam, what do we do without a leader? It is impossible that we can win this war without Richard!
- Before he died, Richard asked me to keep this letter with my life. - He showed all - in this letter, Richard put the name of the person who will replace him to continue this war and that is as good as it was ... - Liam folded the letter and put it in the hands of Blake - Richard entrusted the clan leadership to you, general Allucard.
- What? Liam, this can only be madness! I can not accept such a thing!
- You must accept. Blake, you wanted to be free, right? - The boy nodded - So take the lead and put an end to this war as well as Richard planned. If we surrender, neither you nor your sister will come out here and be killed by the clans of the northern border. Also, we do not come this far to surrender because we are without a leader. That's exactly what that Belgian wants. Will you let him have power over everything?
Blake clenched his fists, undecided, but he felt someone's hand on his shoulder.
- I promised I would not enter this war, but I'm breaking this promise to help you. Blake, you will never be alone, I will always be by your side.
- Thank you, Achila.
- Valentine, how do you do such a thing without telling me? I'm shocked.
- While you think of those brothers, I'm always one step ahead. You should be careful, Abel.
- I can think about it later. But what you, the noble strategist, plan to do?
- You should know that we have no reasons to delay the attack. Do what you want right now, but only follow a single statement of mine.
Abel smiled at what Valentine said to the soldiers, unable to contain the anxiety of being in control of all lands and power to subdue the other clans, but what made him even happier was thinking that the brothers would not last much longer time than planned.

║☓ Sixteenth Bloody Rose

- Blake! Blake! Wake up!
- What happened?
- Do you know anyone called Valentine?
- Of course not, why did you wake me up to ask that?
- Because when I was taking a sunbath I saw a shadow pass at high speed in full sunlight and followed it. It was a pure noble blood of black hair and very red and bright eyes, as if they were jewels.
- And what does that have anything exceptional?
- He can stay in full sunlight without suffering any damage.
- This is an absurd.
- I saw it with my own eyes! When I asked his name, he disappeared.
- Achila, are you sure you still want to go out to sunbathe? It should not be doing you good.
- Do not make fun of me, okay? I know what I saw.
Blake shrugged and went back to sleep automatically, with no response. Achila came out the hard steps down the corridor to cross with Liam, who stood waiting the approach of the hunter.
- Our general can not believe you, but I believe.
- So you heard.
- My hearing is keener than you think.
- This can actually happen?
- Yes. When a vampire spends his entire life feeding on only human blood, new features are appearing: one is strength and physical strength beyond the norm even for the standard of vampires and a speed that even our eyes have difficulty to capture and the rarest of all is the resistance to sunlight. I must say that Valentine was actually awarded luck.
- It would be an excellent example of reinforcement.
- Yes, but we can not rely on other vampires. We do not know his origin. Also - Liam looked out the window - I have not good impressions about this name, it is as if I had ever heard before.

- Lord Valentine? What are you doing here?
- Take care of your post at the time, but make sure that I'm not here to play. - Valentine shifted his gaze to the soldier, who was with the frightened expression and softened - Please focus on your business by now, soon I will trust you something extremely important.
- Yes sir. - The soldier's expression softened.
While he was cold and calculating, Valentine knew how to treat the lower castes gently and complacency, which made him be respected and admired by his followers, just Abel's opposite, which spared no effort to get rid of soldiers and did not care to humiliate those below him.
Valentine's eyes roamed the castle with incredible speed and began scribbling on a sheet of paper in seconds before handing it to the soldier.
- Take this and follow every instruction to the letter. I'm trusting you.
The soldier glanced at the contents of the paper.
- Do not disappoint, my lord. I will bring news soon.
Valentine smiled and disappeared through the trees.

- Valentine! You scared me. Where were you?
- Shut up, I do not satisfactions of my life for you.
- Okay okay. - Abel did surrender - At least you seem happy with whatever you have done.
- I'll be even happier in the coming days.
- What's the next day?
- Wait and see, Abel. Wait and see.

║☓ Fifteenth Bloody Rose

- It was exactly what I expected of them! Did you see it, Valentine?
- I do not understand what you see so extraordinary in them. For me, they'd be dead at the beginning of this war.
- Oh, do not do that. They have two interesting toys.
- We have more things to worry about besides them.
- Valentine, have you ever wondered how tasty could be the blood of that girl dripping down your throat? I would do anything to get that feeling.
Valentine walked away, asking himself why he made an alliance with someone like Abel, however he had his utilities as like to appear in public as he could quietly plotting each strategy and ensure victory over the most influential as he did up now. Everyone was always so concerned about Abel to even know who the person with whom he made an alliance and this was a good thing for him, as it could get out and explore the enemy territory to map out their strategies more clearly without being noticed by others as a suspect.
- Abel, I will leave.
- What?! Valentine, are you okay? Are you ill? It's almost dawn!
- Leave me alone and finish doing what you started.
- But you do not even go out to hunt ... Valentine? Valentine!
Unlike other, Valentine had some resistance to the sun and could study the situation more clearly while the others slept to have the perfect plan of attack.

Achila took the sunshine for a walk in the neighborhood to find out what was happening inside the northern army without running the risk of being attacked by anyone. What was going on in that head Belgian to leave a part of his army in the castle surroundings? If what Liam said was true, then the war would be close to finishing if they won. Blake would be free and she too.
She saw a shadow move with incredible speed in full sunlight not far from her. It could not be a vampire, as they would have been turned into ashes in the same moment that came into contact with sunlight. Could be any other human lost? No, no human being has a speed like that. So what could it be? Achila drew her gun and ran in the same direction of the shadow.
That smell. Long ago he did not feel a smell like that. No doubt it was the only hunter left in the world and now was coming toward him. All humans are equal, even though it may be in danger insist on giving in to curiosity. Her footsteps were closer, making him notice that she did not make any effort to run over to him. He just would not kill her because it did not interest him at the moment.
- Who's there? Show up, or I'll be forced to shoot.
- I do not think that's necessary.
Achila saw a tall shadow walking toward her slowly and with hands raised to reach the boundaries between shadow and sunlight. Was a vampire with pure and noble blood, without a doubt and that reminded her Blake. His hair was even blacker than the Blake and he looked even paler than the rest of its kind. The clothes were apparently heavy, as they were made of black and red leather with some loud silver.
- Who are you?
- I'm just passing through, miss, do not worry about me.
His eyes were red like human blood, but carry unique beauty and nobility that no other vampire in the world would.
- What are you doing here? It's one of the Northern soldiers?
He smiled for reasons that only he would understand and stepped from the shadows slowly walking toward her.
- I'm not one soldier, you should realize that I am part of the nobility for yourself. I am here only in passing to feed me.
- How could you do this?
- What? Ah, stay in the sun without turn into ashes? Say I fed me so much human blood absorbed certain features and resistance to the sun is one. Are you surprised?
Achila analyzed him critically, but did not remember him at all.
- What is your name? I've ever seen anyone like you around here before.
- My name is Valentine. - He bowed slightly before disappearing.

║☓ Fourteenth Bloody Rose

The help from the northern army made Richard lost sleep the next ten days. None of it made sense, unless they were quite sure of what they wanted. Anyway, he hoped that the war would not come so quickly.

But what if something happened? Who would take control of the army and of that clan to that victory was guaranteed? Even with the decreasing amount of enemies, the tension grew more and more, as only one could emerge victorious clan of all that carnage that was going on. He rang the bell and the most trusted strategist knocked his door seconds later.

- I do not think that's a good idea, sir.
- Liam, I have no choice. If anything happens to me in the course of this war I want everything to be forwarded and decided. I ask you to keep this letter and I want you to promise me that you will support the new leader in the same way that you supported me during these years.
- Yes sir. I would never betray my origins, though I have my doubts.
- There is no place for doubt, I have decided and will not change my decision.
 - I completely understand, but I hope you know what you are doing.
 - You do not trust me?
 - I trust you, but not on what might happen after this new commander to take control of the situation. - He put the paper in his jacket pocket - but I still can not understand the reason you think about it now. For years and years you never thought about dying or losing, you prepared us for this war a lifetime.
- Things change and I fear what might happen going forward. The enemies of the northern border have impeccable army and are the ones who are not yet in internal conflicts. All other clans who had entered alliances with each other and conflicts and ended up killing each other, but the Belgian and the other seem to be in harmony, as if they were brothers and that makes me worried.
 - They may have intended to kill everyone and then fight each other to decide who will rule everything, however they are being careful with us because of what we have here.
- The brothers Allucard.
- Exactly. By the time they are fearing their power, but I'm sure that they, especially that Belgian, planning to kill them first and then loot the castle. Therefore, leave them as they are so close together can commit ourselves, as they may end up being killed at once, making way for the enemy and for our defeat.
- Blake made me promise not to separate them. In addition, they manage to fix things. They managed to escape withlife from him, they can do it again.

Liam frowned, little confident with the statement of his master.

- My Lord! South enemy movements are being detected!
 - Is there any kind of reinforcement?
 - No sir. Apparently their alliance was broken, since the soldiers are wounded.

The soldiers and generals were ready to leave, though Richard saw that Blake was the controlling in the lobby.

 - What's going on here?
 - Richard, we can not let them out into battle, at least not now.
 - I understand you're getting at ... You all, lower your weapons and wait my commands.

Achila was watching the movement of the window.

 - Blake! They are coming again!

Richard and Blake rushed to look out the window and saw the same scene repeating itself: Northern soldiers came, eliminated enemies and simply walked away without another word.

 - My Lord! Northern soldiers were detected through the trees, do not say what they plan to do.
- Continue watching and do not miss even a single movement, this indicates that they are up to something. I need soldiers around the castle for a while until they decide to do something.

The soldiers who were dressed volunteered to stay around the castle until sunrise while Richard was thinking what to do.

- It is clear that this is an attack movement.
- Liam, we can not get ahead of ourselves. - Blake countered - And if they know of another enemy attack near and waiting for?
- You are a very naive kid. The only clan that remain are ours, theirs, and the center-west border. Wondering how that Belgian is ornery, I suppose he has sent troops in that direction to put an end to that castle.
- In other words, we are their only obstacle to the rule of the land.
 - Exactly. After they assumed power over all the clans, they have broken up the alliance and will fight to decide who will actually control everything. For this reason we keep the senses alert even while we sleep.

║☓ Thirteenth Bloody Rose

- Wake up! Wake up! Attack enemy of the northwest frontier!
- We have to go.

Achila looked out the window. This time it was not the same that the Belgian vampire had as his army. They had more soldiers and appeared to be in top form.

 - Blake! The sun didn't finish yet go down, you should wait.
- Yes, but we can not run the risk of losing the land.

They left the room and all the other soldiers were leaving for the battlefield.

- Wait a minute.

It was the voice of Richard.

 - What happened?
- You do not go to the battlefield.

Several soldiers began to murmur the reason Richard say that. Is he groove surrendering in full beginning of the war?

 - Feel the smell coming from the north. More soldiers are coming.
 - This is one more reason not to stay idle!
 - Shut up. Let's wait and see what happens.

While the other swayed the decision of the leader, Blake and Achila understood what Richard meant. It was more than evident that both enemies would kill each other to decide who would take the castle and so they would not have to engage in combat at the time.

The soldiers in the north came with speed never before seen exactly toward the clan that was coming from the Northwest, as Richard thought and before long they both clashed and the battle began.

 - Blake, can you see?

He nodded.

- They are the soldiers of that pure blood.

Richard analyzing the battlefield to understand what was happening and to predict what the enemy would, as the soldiers of the North were with guaranteed victory.

There were only a few enemies of the Northwest, but who were killed in seconds by the Belgian Army, which was intact and without suffering any loss. Richard's soldiers were tense, with weapons in hand to fight back against that army, who was retiring from the field with no hint of trying to attack the castle. Blake, Achila and Richard looked at each other when one of the guards shouted one of the towers.

- They are pulling out, there is no sign of attack.
- Are you sure about that?
 - Yes sir. There is no ambush, it is as if they knew the invasion and had just come to help us.
 - But I did not make alliance with anyone, who would appear some kind of help?

The soldiers were retreating slowly with a sigh of relief. Richard was still looking out the window, trying to locate a trap or some sign that it still was not over, but failed. It was really like the sentry said.

- That pure blood must be up to something.
- He must be planning to protect our lands until only his army and ours. In this way, it will be the decisive battle.
 - It can take a long time. Maybe he's trying to eliminate all the threats in the region so that it can concentrate all his strength in us and thus dominate the entire province at a time.
- Anyway, what he did was an unusual act, we must always be alert.
- Why did you do that?
- They were nothing more nor less than worms in our way.
- But they were going to attack the Richard's land; why did stop it?
- Because I want to rip the heads of Allucard brothers with my own hands. Until then, I will not allow someone else does, not even you.
- I also have no interest in them. Do what you want for now.
